Week 1

Day 1

Monday 17th of june

Mrs Phillibert (from the Gregor Mendel Highschool) picked me up at the Penssion where I am staying, the company is on the other side of the road but she wanted to introduce everyone.
We met the boss : Michael Pohler, his wife who is also working in the company and his parents who created thhe company a few year ago.
They shown us the whole company, all the buildings, the materials, the things that are needed for the projects...

Then my father and the teacher left, Michel gave me work clothes and we went to Bad Driburg to check out differents projects in the city.

After that we went to another project were a team was working, he told me too work with them during that day. We had to fix a gate so I helped them.
After we finished we had to go take measurements on a garden, then we went back to the company.

At the end of the day I came back to the Pension with my father and we had lunch, after we took a walk in the village of Reelsen, here is a picture of the principal street.

Day 2

Tuesday 18th of june

On the second day I began work at 7 am, it's the same every morning, Michael told me that I was going with a new team to cut the edges.

We drove a little bit far from Reelsen it was in a graveyard and so we did the work till 2pm, then we went to the firefighters place to prune hedges too.
In the evening I received my luggage so I took a time to organize my room for the month.

Day 3

Wednesday 19th of june

On that day me and Océane decided to go to the Paderborn's highschool with Léonie her coworker.
I said goodbye to my father because he was taking his flight to France.

At 7am they picked me up in Bad Driburg, then we went to the school.
We had a vegetal production class until 1:30 pm (we took a break at 9:30 and at 12:30)
In Germany each class lasts 45 min and after every two classes they have a 20 min break.
After the end of the classes we went to Paderborn city center to visit a little bit. We visited the Church wich is very big, we took a walk in the parks of Paderborn, it was so beautiful, and finally we had lunch in a pizzeria (it was so good !)
After that Léonie brought us back to our places because she had to leave.

Day 4

Thursday 20th of june

In the morning I went to work and my boss told me to go work on a project with Jenny (she is an employee)
It was a garden that they were fully renovating, so we had to flatten all the soil, we were 4 persons of the company working there, so we had differents thinks to do. After we finished the soil, I helped Zuran to fill the holes around the pavers.

We had a very long day, we finished at 5 pm.
Then I ccame back home.
At dinner time the family who owns the pension where I live invited me to their family barbecue. It was so cool, they are so kind and nice with me, the food wass also delicious, we had a very good time.

Day 5

Friday 21th of june

I went to the same place as the day before, we continued the work on the garden.
During the morning I had to go help Yurk to fix the neighbors do a small place to put on stones and plants, they let me do this alone andd helped me to put on the stones.

On fridays we finish work at half past two, after wee ccame back I decided to go to Bad Driburg with a bus so that I could visit this city. I've seen so many beautiful cars there.

Day 6

Saturday 22th of june

On saturday I asked the pension to take my breakfats later so that I can sleep a little longer.
During the morning I went outside in the garden to take the sun, Océane came to see me at 12am and we had lunch at the pension.

During the afternoon we went to Bad Driburg so I shown her the city.
In the evening we were invited by my boss for a barbecue with his friends and family. I am so grateful for that kind of moments because it was very touching, they were all so sweet with us.
We talked hours during with everyone, it was so cool to be able to discover a daily weeekend in Germany !
As a dessert they puted some bananas in the grill and then we had to cut it and to put chocolate into it, it was so strange at first but then we tasted it and it was delicious ! Fun memory haha
My boss and his wife invited us on sunday to go visit the region.

Day 7

Sunday 23th of june

On sunday we woke up at 9am and we got ready, then we took a breakfast and worked a little bit. At 12 am we ate lunch and then Michael picked us up, we drove during 30 mins and then we got to the first monument they wanted to show us : The Hermann Momnument, it's a big statue next to Detmold.

After that we took the car and drove a little bit more far to the Externsteine, wich is a type of big rock and we can go on top of it with stairs.
We took a little lunch at this place, it was very cool and relaxing because we were laying in the grass.
After that we came back to Bad Driburg stoped to eat pizzas in a restaurant.
This day was so cool because we discovered a little part of the country and we enjoyed the time spent with my boss, his wife, their kid and also a friend of them.
Then we came back to the Pension and Océane's boss picked her up so I went to bed.
