On the evening of saturday, we were lucky enough to witness our first carnival in france. We drove from Perpignan to a small village, Céret where the carnival was organised. Céret carnival sees the pretty streets come alive with colour, music and confetti. The first sight was people playing with some foamy liquid which reminded me of my holi celebration in Perpignan.
It was good to see how people take out time from their daily work and come together to celebrate this beautiful festival with so much enthusiasm. People throwing confetti at one another was a fun sight to watch. The street had a big parades, floats, people in fancy dresses and live music. These festival remind us that we should never let the child inside us die. No matter how busy our life becomes we should always have time for our loved ones.
