A lovely morning in Brasov, despite the inclement weather; riding the cable car to the (almost) top of Mount Tampa (960m altitude). It was a swift journey up, 2 minutes 20 seconds and although the conductor of the cable car threw some sliced white bread over to intice the
bears, Baloo's friends were clearly not interested in ultra processed food.
There isn't an awful lot of it left but the view on the other side, where there is a rather scary drop, is quite impressive. The clouds obscured the mountain tops but it didn't dampen my enjoyment of a
beautiful vista.

The Hollywood style Brasov sign can be seen for miles and it was a treat to be able walk behind it. The view over Brasov is nothing short of magnificent: from the oldest part of town with the red roofs of the centuries old buildings, to the brutalist architecture with it's flat roofs and square block design on the outskirts of town, to the fields of differing shades of green and brown resembling a verdant patchwork quilt. As I said earlier, a lovely morning in Brasov, despite the inclement weather.
