Visit to Trieste: day 13

Today in the course, we worked on a horse for 20 minutes in the lungeing area.

We then accompanied our course leaders throughout the morning.

They rode the eight mares to breaking-in.

Our role during the morning was to look after the horses before and after the course leaders got on them, and we also accompanied them during their work on horseback.

This took us all morning.

Then we went to the canteen for lunch.

After lunch, we walked a stud rider's stallion for 20 minutes and had him graze.

Then we went for a shower at around 2pm before leaving.

Afternoon:

We went to Trieste after our course to visit the city. We saw some magnificent monuments, including Trieste Abbey. We also went shopping and found a gift for our placement supervisors, which we all signed!

We finished off this wonderful evening with a meal in an Italian restaurant with nothing but pasta! It was delicious!

We then headed home to begin our last day of training the next day!
