Collioure is a town on the Mediterranean coast of Southern France and is nicknamed as 'city of painters'.The location is around 29 kms from Perpignan and its art and architecture makes it very beautiful and attractive.
we were taken to the city by our DEFIAA professors through a bus and they acquainted us to the local market. In the market we saw the sea foods including oysters and the shop women made us to taste the duck meat. We were also made familiar to different kind of wines, honey and spices. The market also had mermerising handmade jewellery.
Alongwith we also communicated to the people in little bit French language we learned. The people here are very welcoming and sweet.
Afterwards we went to a cafe which had beautiful handmade paintings and then we proceeded towards the coast. There we saw the Royal Castle of Collioure, Eglise Notre Dame des Anges,a church and a beautiful beach.
People here are very artistic and talented. They are very good in making paintings, music and playing guitar. The location is surrounded by beautiful art and architecture and bay with divine turquoise water which looks just like a postcard landscape.
