Slovakia - Ivanka Pri Dunaji
Today the students went to work at their respective fish farms. I spent the morning reviewing the weeks planning and verifying the budget. This afternoon, the students returned and went for a walk around the town. Ivanka Pri Dunaji is a small town of about 7,000 people but it is quite spread out. There are roadworks everywhere which makes driving a a bit difficult at times.

The whole town reminds me of a leafy suburb outside of a large city - which being not too far from Bratislava, I suppose it is!

There is a large school complex not far from the lycée that appears to have both secondary and primary pupils and a small selection of supermarkets. I was suprised to see a Tesco supermarket, a British company in the town centre. There are some nice play parks for kids and a few bars.

After dinner, Lionel and I went into the town for a couple of hours to organise a list of information that the students have to garner from their respective fish farmers; tonnage, surface area of ponds, sales etc and I took the opportunity to try some Slovakian lemonade.
