Introduction :
Hello, I am a Bac Pro 2 student and last year in the euro section we went to Finland for 10 days to complete an intership with Nordic Trout.

To start I would like to thanks for Pasi and the Nordic Trout group, more precisely Mati the operations manager, his father and Saara who welcomed us and taught us their Finnish production methods.

The fish farm is located in Kuusa, the nearest town is 30 minutes away by road.

What surprised us most in Finland was its magnificent landscapes.

We didn't eat any Finnish specialties but the salmon soup looked very good.

To start the day we have to feed all the fish.

During these 10 days we were able to feed the fish, change tanks, make them lay eggs, and separate the males from the females. I would have liked to do some processing because we went to visit a workshop.

Thanks to Nordic trout employees we have been able to perfectour stripping method.

During these 10 days, with the class, one Saturday we visited 2 museums, one of art and the other of natural history. We were also able to perfect our ice fishing technique and one snowy day I built a homemade sled, Lord Valley got to try it out and it was a lot of fun.

We were also able to discover their magnificent rivers while hiking in the National Forest, we also went bowling and visited a frozen port where I was able to walk on the ice, Miss Tara was scared!

First of all we want to thank Mr. Valley Lionel and Miss Payne Tara for accompanying us for this incredible experience.

We thank once again the Nordic Trout group for welcoming us to their farm and our school which allowed us to make this trip.
