Anglais move agri
Hello, my name is Laurette Albrecht, I am 17 years old and I am in 1ère STAV ( agricultural high school) class at the François Rabelais high school in Lozère.
Thanks to Erasmus, we were able to go to Turin to see our Italian friends again who had already come to our high school before.
We left for Turin from February 9 to 16, 2025.
Sunday : We left on Sunday at 8am in Clermont Ferrand to arrive in Turin at 4 p.m..
We arrived directly in Turin and then went to our hotel.
We settled into the hotel and the room is just amazing ! Afterwards, we directly discovered the surroundings of our neighborhood as well as brands that we did not know in France.
Finally, right next to our hotel, we ate in a small italian restaurant with its classics ( the italian pasta she loves!)
We returned to the hotel.

Monday : Afterwards, very well rested in our rooms, we attended breakfast which was just incredible ! We took public transport to visit the Italian high school, they had prepared different activities for us in different subjects to show us how they worked in Italy rather in France. With them we talked about the environment, ecology, sustainability and the use of public transport. It was a great activity !
We were able to eat with them and talk a little about how long it had seen each other.
Once we were done with the Italians we were able to take a tour of the city center, we ended up at an Italian restaurant and we were able to see and visit the place, and then headed back to the hotel.

Tuesday : This Tuesday morning we went directly to the italian high school to do an activity on ourselves and introduce ourselves, it was pretty cool ! Then, still whith the presence of the italians, we were able to discover a large square where there were markey shops, restaurant…
Then we had a presentation of the neighborhood which surronded us with a higher class than the Italians we were with. They showed us historical places, churches and activities to do there.
Once their presentation was over we were able to head back to our neighborhood to eat at a local restaurant that made pizzas and tiramisus;) it was really very good ! And finally we were able to go back to our rooms.

Wednesday : As usual we met the Italians at their high school, we were able to do some activities with them, and we went straight to visit the Egyptian Museum ! Personally, i loved this visit, it was enriching and interesting and lively ! Then we were able to collect some souvenirs fron this museum and then we had free time all afternoon. For our small group we preferred to return to the hotel to rest and then meet at the meeting point as planned.
Funny anecdote : As planned we took a bus that was going in the direction we needed to go, time passes, and we arrive at the point where we were supposed to go except that we realize that it was not the right meeting point because we had gone to the wrong church, then we realize that we have a 15 minutes walk so we start running like crazy through the streets of Turin haha;)
We finally arrived and we can go to the restaurant to eat then we will walk around and return to the hotel.

Thursday : We didn’t spend the morning with the Italians. We visited the community centers thanks to a guide who knew the subject well, as well as an old farm.
Afterwards we visited an old Factory which has been renovated to become a church, it was both surprising and stange ! We were also given a place to eat at a very famous skatepark there in Italy, Skate Park is very large size, very popular and well-known. A party was organized for us italians and we had a great time because the venue was the bowling alley, first we ate huge pizzas as much as we could, it was really good and very cool, then we were ablen to play bowling ! We all really loved this activity because we were able to share moments together ! The downside was that we got back to the hotel very late and were very tired the next day;)

Friday : We spent the whole morning with the italians, we did activities together and then we received our diplomas. We were all very happy to receive this diplomas !
Afterwards we visited a farm whose farmer who was a beekeeper had his vegetable garden with lots of different vegetables as weel as his livestock that he raised himself to kill and resell later. We did an activity on the farm so we also ate there.
Anecdote : we ate very early these days at the farm and so when we got back to the hotel we were very hungry so we wanted to find a restaurant or a taco place to eat except that everything was closed and we had to go to Lidl to buy sandwiches except that they were expired:/

Saturday : This Saturday we visited a park it is called « Park de Valentino », All together we were able to explore the park and they noticed that there were a lot of squirrelsand that they were not afraid of humans ! By visiting so many places we ate very late, but we tasted homemade ice cream and it was very delicious ! Then for the afternoon we had free time in the center to buy gifts for our families. We were able to see a magnificient viewpoint with its landscape of Turin ! And in that same place there was a magnificient church who was isolated from everything. We took public transport to go see a gallery where there lots of shops. We were able to eat there directly and then we went home. And we unfortunately had to say our last goodbye to our Italian friends

Sunday : Here we go, the big departure... Emma and I got up around 6:30 to have our last breakfast.
Our suitcases were ready, so we took the path to the departure point to go to the bus that would take us back to Clermont-Ferrand. We say a final goodbye to the city of Turin and then we will leave around 8 a.m..
We all went back and arranged to meet up at the high school to meet up with our families (yes, it was still a long time for everyone ;)
We all said goodbye with a smile on our faces after this enriching trip, full of memories and lots of good times spent together!

I really loved this trip or I should have never gone haha, and finally it was a journey filled with emotions!
All this made me learn a lot of things about life and daily life in a country completely different from France.
I recommend everyone to travel with Erasmus, it's just great!
Thank you all for taking the time to read my blog, I hope you enjoyed it!
See you next time, goodbye, Laurette Albrecht ;)
